I’ve never been able to see 3-D or the eye magic pictures (I have a pretty lopsided astigmatism). Does this system work for folks that have eyesight problems such as mine?

Wow!

The differences in the photos alone were amazing. I had no idea that laparoscopic surgery wasn’t in 3D to begin with, but it makes sense….

I know of a company who have pioneered the technology that is capable of realising 3D laparoscopic surgery without the drawbacks highlighted by Steven F. Palter’s article, chiefly those of head mounted displays & robotic solutions. The company’s technoogy uses a ‘no-glasses’ 3D displays with a wide viewing angle and high resolution; however the company have yet to successfully raise the finance to bring the product to market. So just to make those interested aware - the technology is usually ‘out there’, but it doesn’t always make it to market!
