I've always for as long as I can remember felt sleepy or tired, even when young. I was always the one who fell asleep in the deer blind or while driving etc... Being the case I started using meth in college and used it on and off for 20 years. Problem it made me short tempered and horny as hell, ended up getting divorce at 42. I stopped using and I still battle fatigue daily. Asked my Doc about Provigil after reading about it in a mag. As far as I can tell it seems to work okay but had to increase dose. I can get too wired and the crash or hangover is no different from crank, maybe even worse. You still get a craving when coming off after about ten or twelve hours. If you take more you will stay awake but feel like you've been beat with a stick, ache all over, head ache, sore muscles, shakes. At this point more pills won't help, just makes you sick. After finally sleeping good all night you feel normal next day but still have a tolerance to the pills. I don't see a problem with long term addiction but a person might take months supply in two weeks. I think it could possibly lead to illegal drug use if a person was familiar with the drug scene and knew how and where to look for an illegal substitute. So there you go baseball fans, that's the scoop on Provigil.

This medication is too tempting for people who have no options but to try to find more time in their day. Hate to see the problems after some long term testing.

I don't believe for one second that there are no side effects. Have they done any long term testing? Sure it's bound to cause insomnia in the long term?
